Now you can find Quick Medical Terminology and Abbreviation Reference on the Android market. It's listed as "Medical Terminology and Abbrev" due to character limitations the name had to be changed but the software is still the same. It's already a top paid app under the health category!

The iPhone OS will still be our primary focus but as the Android OS market place develops we plan on porting our other software.

We have some new and exciting updates we are working on. In the mean time continue sending us any of your feedback or requests. It's been in the top 10 since February and #5 for a week now! Glad everyone is enjoying it.

We whipped together a new mac application that we are giving away for free. "Buy Me" is a application to keep track of gifts you have in mind for people. We created it for ourselves and want to share it with the world.

Check it out. It's free!

What's next?
New updates for Quick MT and MT Aid will be released to apple in the next 48 hours. Followed by another update for MT Aid 3 weeks after that. We took all the feature requests and incorporated them into a great update.

Check out our preview gallery (link).

Given past review times by Apple we expect the update to go live in 7 days (February 17th). When it does we'll be releasing a overhaul of the app information page and provide more details and video of the app in use.

Somehow a bug that we could not test for got past us and apple. Luckily a purchaser pointed it out to us and we where able to pull the app from further sales.

What happened? The geek answer bellow...

"There are three methods in UIApplicationDelegate implementation that have to finish within 5-6 seconds or the iPhone will kill your application (this does not apply to when you are attached with a debugger and on the simulator). The exact time interval doesn't seem to be documented anywhere, but that's what we determined experimentally. There are two on startup, applicationDidFinishLaunching: and application:didFinishLaunchingWithOptions, and one on shutdown, applicationWillTerminate.

When these operations are not performed asynchronously it causes a watchdog crash on startup."

So what did we do about it...

We've submitted an update that addresses these issue and have asked apple to expedite the review. Hopefully we can get an update live quickly. To the few costumers who purchased a copy in the few hours the app was live. We're extremely sorry. This was not a bug that would show up on our end. It only becomes apparent in the commercial release. From the moment we first where notified to the moment we had a fix submitted to apple was about 24 hours. We do care and thank you for your patience.

First Update:
Medical Terminology Aid had it's search rewritten from the ground up with speed in mind. After you first update your app you'll notice a small pause with the first start up. This is the database updating itself. Once this has been done once (the first time you start it) it won't need to do it again. It'll just work fast. Really fast!

Second Update:
Now Where had some language support added. Also grabbing latitude and longitude from an address had a minor bug addressed.

Third Update:
We released Quick MT which is just Medical Terminology Aid without any study sections, quiz functionality, or flashcards. Some of you asked for a stripped down version for less so now you have an option.

Forth Update:
A light version of Now Where has been released to apple and will hopefully go live soon. This version is exactly the same as Now Where but with limitation on the number of entries you can have and it's free. So now you can try before you buy.

So what else is in store?

We have two major updates in the work that we hope to get out in 2 weeks. The first is an expansion of the database for Quick MT and Medical Terminology Aid.

The second is the addition of lots more functionality to the Now Where app. We took every piece of feedback and are implementing it into this update. We're really excited about it.

Now Where #87 in US app store under Navigation

Today we got great news.
Now Where is currently free for Christmas till the 28th of December. So if you decide to download it. Please give us a review.
